Dear Self:

Dear self:

I fully accept you—and where you’re at in your life right now.

I give you permission to become all that God has created you to be and all that He’s called you to do.

I give you room for process, repentance, forgiveness, and acceptance.

You have permission to experience and explore your life so you can choose what you want and don’t want in your life.

I give you permission to dream, to create, to soar, and take risks.

I give you permission to re-write the narratives that you’ve formed in your mind as you continually discover God’s truth.

I give you permission to be brave and to embrace the uncertainties of life as you believe in the goodness of God.  You are never stuck because God gives you the solutions and the faith to overcome every obstacle.

I give you permission to love yourself well, and to love others in the same way.

I give you permission to accept this day as it unfolds—knowing that God is directing your steps.  He never leaves you, never forsakes you, and nothing in all the universe can separate you from His immeasurable love and care for you.

I give you permission to rest, to let go of the past, the negative, the trauma, and to embrace the uncertainties of life—knowing God is absolutely good and you are safe in His arms as He fills you with hope, joy, peace, and love.

I give you permission to enjoy and rejoice in the life that God made for you before the foundations the world when He created you.

I give you permission to believe you are who God says you are, and that God is who He says He is.  He loves you, He wants you, You are His and He is yours for eternity.

Dear self…no one can choose this for you—you alone must choose it.

Author: Commune In The Garden

I was radically saved in the darkest point of my life as a young adult. I've been a lover and disciple of Jesus ever since. I have 3 grown children (1 in heaven) and 4 grandchildren. I am so thankful for everything the Lord has brought me through and done in my life. My desire to write has been with me since childhood. Besides writing, my desire is to teach and encourage the Body of Christ "till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;" Eph.4:13.
